Earlier in my life I played around a bit with watercolor painting, but raising 3 children and working as a Dental Hygienist left me with little spare time. Watercolor painting didn’t become a compelling hobby for me until 2011 when the youngest of my children moved out.
I fell in love with the vibrant color, the unpredictability and the joy of watercolor. I’ve always enjoyed photography and gardening and I love using photos of flowers and birds in my garden as inspiration for my paintings. Hiking and traveling are also things I enjoy and having lived in Germany for 4 years and my travels to South Korea have also provided many resource photos for my paintings.
Painting became more than a hobby for me. It became an extension and expression of myself. I hope you can feel the joy in each of my paintings. Thanks for taking a look!
